Juniper Motel Madras view

Juniper Motel Madras, Madras

Independent Hotel Reviewer

Juniper Motel is honestly one of those places that just works. You come to Madras for the outdoors, everyone does, and this motel sits right in the middle of everything you need access to. Clean rooms, good parking, friendly people at the desk - its a solid base and for the price its hard to complain. The kind of spot where you check in, sleep well, and wake up ready to actually go do the thing you came here for.

The vibe is relaxed, very small-town Oregon. Rooms are simple but kept in good shape and the staff are the type who actually talk to you, not just hand you a keycard. Families, hikers, people with kayaks strapped to their roof - everyone seems to end up here and most of them come back next season. thats probably the best thing you can say about a place like this.

Smith Rock is like 30 mins away, so early morning starts at the trailhead are very realistic from here.

Decor is a bit old, nothing bad just not modern.

Breakfast is minimal, better to just head to a local diner and eat proper.

Wifi is okay for basic stuff but can get slow on busy weekends.

Pool is on the smaller side, fine for cooling off after a hot day outside.
